Be Thankful Turkey

Tis the season to be thankful, so here is a turkey/be thankful gift to make with te family or for fun:)

20131119-195922.jpg

Start with some turkey colored feather shape papers. Either color them in or use construction paper

20131119-200017.jpg

Then fill a baby food jar with M&Ms

20131119-200048.jpg

Write what you are thankful for on the feathers or you can leave them blank.

20131119-200143.jpg

Attach eyes (googly eyes would’ve been awesome but I couldn’t find them) and a beak to finish your turkey off.

Hair Bows

Here is an easy way to make hair bows. 20131106-185753.jpg
The yellow polka dot one is 18 inches and the blue one I think is around 10. I would recommend making them bigger. We had to make 40 for choir and we were limited on ribbon.
Start with two loops20131106-190021.jpg
Tie the other ribbon around the middle of the loops. 20131106-190114.jpg
Ruffle the loops out to a bow shape and cut the edges of the ribbon. Now you have your final bow!20131106-190240.jpg

Attach a clip or hairband to finish it off!

Money Necklace

Creative gifts part 2!
If you haven’t seen Creative gifts check it out in the crafting and holiday category!

Here is the Money Flower

20131102-090511.jpg

20131102-090526.jpg

It’s super easy too! All you need is string and 15 $1 bills.

Roll 14 of the bills into rolls

20131102-091500.jpg
And then put them through a string for your necklace. Now you have the flower to do

20131102-090816.jpg
Fold the bill like a fan, and make it into a bow. Make the bow fuller by taping the edges into a flower shape. Finish it up with a piece of tape to the necklace!
If you have any questions email us at cheronchicblog@yahoo.com
If you are confused with the flower, comment or email us and we could post a video tutorial if we need to.

Rustic Sheet Music

Here is how you make your sheet music look antique.
All you need is a pan, sheet music and tea or coffee. We used tea just because it was the only thing available.

20131013-155559.jpg
Crumple up the paper a little bit and soak it in the tea. The longer you soak it, the browner it gets. We only did it for an hour but I recommend you soak it longer than that.

20131013-155745.jpg

20131013-155754.jpg
I know it isn’t that brown but with longer soaking it will be really great I know it 🙂

There are so many things you could use this for, and we will be looking around for one to show you. Be creative with it too! If you have a craft to make with this, or want to show us your results after letting it soak longer, please email us at chevronchicblog@yahoo.com
Thanks and have a wonderful Sunday!
